TOUR SEKY Appalachian Craft Fair Scheduled For June 30, 2012
TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY) is pleased to host the 6th Annual Kentucky Appalachian Craft Fair June 30, 2012 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY.
There will be a wide variety of high quality arts and crafts from throughout Southern and Eastern Kentucky. A treasure chest of one-of-a-kind pieces under one roof. The fair will take place Saturday, June 30 from 11am to 6pm ET.

SOUTHERN AND EASTERN KENTUCKY TOURISM INDUSTRY SHOWS STRONG ECONOMIC GROWTH
Somerset, KY – TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY) is excited to announce the travel and tourism industry contributed $1.5 billion to Southern and Eastern Kentucky’s Economy in 2010, a 3.8% economic impact increase in from 2009. The economic impact of tourism in Kentucky amounted to $11.3 billion in 2010. The economic impact figure is a 4.8 percent increase from 2009. “We are pleased to see such growth in our 47 county region,” said Jeff Crowe, TOUR SEKY President/CEO. Read more »

MOUNTAIN PARKWAY TRAILS CORRIDOR RECEIVES FUNDING FOR REGIONAL DISPLAY CASES
Somerset, KY - TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY) hosted its 10th annual tourism Forum December 6, 2010 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY. The theme was “What’s Cooking at your Destination.”
The Mountain Parkway Trails Corridor which includes Estill, Lee, Magoffin, Owsley, Powell and Wolfe Counties was awarded funding to create regional display cases that will be located at Pioneer Village in Owsley County. Pioneer Village is located between two state parks and the display cases will house antique items that showcase the history of the corridor. Read more »
