TOUR SEKY KIDS ARTS AND CRAFT CAMP A HUGE SUCCESS
105 children ages 3-13 participated in TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky’s first ever Children’s Arts and Crafts Camp. The camp was held June 25-29, 2012 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky.
Campers participated in 10 class sessions ranging from painting and pottery to basket making, wood construction, sewing and floral design. “This camp provided our youth with the opportunity to learn about the heritage of the region from local artisans,” said Jeff Crowe, TOUR SEKY President/CEO. “We are already looking at new class options for next year.”
Instructors from Marlows Ceramic Shop in Whitley City, KY are shown with some of the students that participated in the "Paint Your Own Pottery" class. If you are interested in scheduling a party or working with the pottery instructors, please contact Vivian at 606-376-2472.
